Weigh-In 5/20/13

Work has been kicking my rear since I got back from vacation, surprise! However I did manage to go on vacation and lose weight, that says something.

Anyone ever heard/read of Tim Ferriss? 4 Hour Body? I'll write something more detailed later, but I'm testing out his 30 grams of protein within 30 minutes of waking method.

I did not realize how hard it would be to reach 30 grams of protein with reasonable (IE: under 300 calories) calorie restriction.


  1. Losing weight on vacation? Ummmmm, I'm not sure you can even call that a vacation!

    Way to go tho.

    1. I've lost weight on every vacation I ever had, because I was doing so many active things

  2. A scoop of About Time whey isolate is 102 calories/20g protein (approx -- it might be 105/21, but close enough), mixed with 1/2 cup of plain Greek yogurt for 50 calories/10g protein would do it for < 200 calories.

  3. I don't know how you feel about protein shakes (the ready to drink ones) but I have some from Premier Protein they're 30g protein and 160 calories. They have Chocolate and Vanilla.

  4. Well done for dropping weight while on vacation! I'm hoping I can do the same when the time comes ...

  5. My problem is that I am rarely hungry within my first hour of arising... Then I race off & BOOM! find myself starving by 10 AM
