Love the body you have.. BUT... recognize that you deserve more and deserve a healthier body. Accepting your body for the way it is only leads to complacency. Love it, but don't accept it as is.
I am putting together some Before and After pictures for a project I'm working on. When I was tasked with finding more "before" pictures, my friends and family all said the same thing: "You didn't like your picture being taken."
Sadly the same is still true for me "after." It just forces me to realize that this will never be done - I should love myself but always strive to improve myself.
Here's some shots I found - enjoy while I cringe!
And for an after, and still improving...
Oh. My. Gosh! LOOK AT YOU! You look amazing girl! A-MAZ-ING! Great job!

YES!
ReplyDeleteHealthy is the way to go. You've done a great job, too. I love this kind of post! "Accepting your body for the way it is only leads to complacency. Love it, but don't accept it as is." LOVE!!!!
I am camera shy too. I used to tear up pictures of me that I deemed unacceptable. Now I delete them from the camera. :( You are gorgeous! I love this post. :)
ReplyDeleteAmazing and gorgeous!
ReplyDeletemy gawd woman!!! You don't even look like the same person. You are smokin hot baby!!!!
ReplyDeleteWell done you look amazing, you deserve the results you've got, keep working at it until you're happy but still recognise how far you've come!
ReplyDeleteWho is that woman in those first few pictures? Not only has your body and health improved, so has your style...ha! So proud of you woman, and you are exactly right that while we should love our current body, we should strive to make it better...healthier.
ReplyDeleteThe hair is big
ReplyDeleteLoving your body should be an active process: giving it the nutrients, activity, and rest it needs!
ReplyDeleteYou really look great!
ReplyDeleteSo glad I found your blog. What an amazing accomplishment!
ReplyDeleteDang girl! You look awesome. Love the big hair. :)
ReplyDeleteI've long believed the same thing. Be happy where you are and strive to improve!
ReplyDeleteWhat a transformation!! Keep looking at those *befores* and never go back there, this is the real you :)
ReplyDeletePhotos do not lie, you know? I think that having photos over the past few years has been more helpful than the scale has. Even when I don't see much progress as far as that NUMBER, I can always see positive differences in how I look in the photos. You are doing great! Love the transformation.
ReplyDeleteWow, you look awesome! you must be so proud of yourself!

ReplyDeleteI had a triple chin on my driver's license photo in 2006 (usually, back then a double chin, but dmv takes even worse pics than a normal ones of a fat person). Yes, it is definitely so much better to have pictures taken where they're not embarrassing now that I lost 65 pounds.
ReplyDeleteYou look great, btw. Just lovely. First time to your blog and I will follow. :D
