Weigh-In 7/23/2012

Previous:              193.8
Today:                  192.6
Loss:                        -1.2
 
And... we're back in the running for 190 by next weigh-in. 2.6 is a lot, I'm not going to be super bummed if I don't hit it, but I should be at least close.
 
I am heading to Tunica MS for the weekend, aka land of the buffets, to do some gambling. WILLPOWER GO!

  2. I stay away from buffets except for the Indian ones. There, I fill my plate half full of salad and have small portions of the things I like most. No second helpings. It works for me. Have fun. :)

  3. The guy in front of you, on line, he grabbed a spare rib, no big deal. 2 feet before that he scooped a little mac and cheese. All good. As he finished he picked up a jello, and you followed straight through.. Prior to the buffet he went to the bathroom, wiped but forgot to wash his hands. No worries that he was very close to your food as you sit down to enjoy it !!
    Yummy... Now about that buffet ?

    Yeah, stay clear of them buffets girl! They are expensive too...unless you get a free coupon. Most have an actual sit down, order off the menu restaurant too, don't they? (Honestly, even though I'm from MS, I never went to Tunica to the casinos...I always went to the coast ones or the ones in Philadelphia). And just say no to those "free drinks" they like to pass out....they are really diluted with the sugary mix and not so much alcohol (which is sugar as well).

    1. Technically it's 147 from 317 (when I started this blog) =( BUT you are right.. I have lost 147 lbs regardless haven't I?! WOOT! =D Thank you!

  5. Calories are easy. With no exercise at all, you will maintain your weight eating 2,100 healthy calories. If you cut out 500 calories per day, you should lose a pound per week. Easy stuff. To lose 2 pounds per week, with minimal exercise, you need to drop to 1,100 calories per day. You can't beat the math, it is not fair. As you get thinner, it gets harder...

  7. Of all the blogs I'm following I truly admire your record on weight loss. Very consistent, always within a reasonable healthy (we always want a lot more) range. But little by little you have already accomplished 147! Wow!!!!

    Kudos to you. You are very inspiring.

    Going to buffets has always been my weakness. The real problem I had with them was that I had to 'make my money worth' this is, if I paid 25 dollars why would I just have a small serving of a salad? Why instead wouldn't I get like 5 huge plates of whatever they had!?

    It all changed when I found a soups and salads buffet in Vancouver (not B.C.), Washington (not D.C.). It was pretty much the same price as every other buffet but they only had soups and salads...and really good ones!

    Anyways good luck on your trip! I'm dropping some weight too you can follow my progress at my blog!
